That would depend upon the situation and where I was at the time.
In my job, I deal with rude and ignorant people all the time.
We try to be as polite as possible. If the behavior persists, we ask them to leave. We called the police a few times and that took care of the problem.
Mostly, these people want someone to listen to them, but they just don't know the right way to go about it.

When I was a bartender sometimes if a customer was really rude to me as I was pouring I would yell out to one of the regulars "hey Fred (or somebody) do me a favor and remind me to call my Mother!" They would say sure but why do you need to call her? I would yell "Because I am thinking that I should just call and thank her for raising me properly and teaching me manners". It was always good fun as the person knew they had been dissed and that other people around them were aware that they were rude.

That would depend on the situation and what they were being rude and ignorant about.
Unfortunately, I see more ignorance and rudeness at work where I can't do much about it.

If you are in a position of authority in the place they are at:
a) remind them of the house rules
if it continues:
b) issue a last warning
if it continues:
c) ask them to leave
If they don't
d) summon the guards/bouncers/police

seriouslty i try to educate back as much as i can and i try to let people know as much as i can on a certain subject, i know that some people are just so ignorant even sometimes if i try to educate them about a certain thing they still dont get it because they are soo ignorant.

Stay away from them. Ignore them. Get away from them. It doesnt do any good to try to talk to them....simply because they are already ignorant. They arnt going to change, theyll just get worse.*

don't let them get you frustrated,
for ignorant people, since they are not going to listen and learn andything anyway just tell them that's your opinion and i don't choose to discuss it
