Gave the female coworkers on my team roses this year. One to each and one to my female friends that come through for me. My friends think it was dumb because they said you will get no play fomr it. I dont want play just to do something nic e on that day for them. The coworkers liked it . Doesnt help me trying to get rid of the nice guy stigma but hey it boosted team moral and thats important .

i don't think there is anything wrong with it either, i happen to think what you did was very SWEET considering it being Valentine's Day & there are some single women out there who don't have any body & you have enlightened their moods by giving them a rose. Your friends are just being immature, IGNORE THEM.

I dont think there is anything wrong with it from a professional standpoint. Yeah it does give off the nice guy vibe, BUT since you gave one to EVERYONE of the girls, that makes it fair but at the same time doesnt give any of them ideas because you made it equal. Your friends need to learn work ethics and how morality comes into it. Just because you give doesnt mean you expect something back (kinda like the whole christmas spirit kinda thing... give without expecting to recieve).
I wouldnt worry about it if I was you, just continue life about in work, what you did was good, and nice, not to mention doesnt break any rules by government standards:) so your ok!
