they have such low self esteem - have you noticed that?

Maybe it's because society makes you feel like you are incomplete unless you are coupled up with someone else. Unless you are one of the fortunate minority that is really good looking and/or rich, it's not likely that it will come easily. If you take that to mean that you are not lovable, then I could see why some people would become desperate. The real trick is to make yourself happy then if you meet someone you like, they are just a bonus, not someone you NEED.

Typically when someone is doing the dating thingy... they have just gotten out of a relationship. The ones with the low self-esteem are typically the ones that got dumped or got cheated on. As a result, sure thier self-esteem is down. So if you are concerned and probably into a person who has a low self-esteem, why not ask them. "Hey! You look a little down in the dumps!" "What's going on in your life that makes you feel that way?" "I mean, you are a really attractive person and there should be no reason that you should be doing anything except smiling at the whole world!" "So what's up with that?"
Help lift thier spirits. Everyone could use a helping hand sometimes. Maybe your's is what they need. So reach out and give them a hand!

I think a lot of ppl just lack self esteem. U half to believe in urself and love urself before someone else will.

low self esteem usually comes from a lack of love growing up. be aware and respectful of that. that pain can last a lifetime and requires unbelievable courage to face it and heal.

They're lonely and they want someone. Little do they know that people will let them down, even their lover at one time or another. Then forgiveness must kick in or back to misery.

They are just lonley and want someone to love them thats normal for people to feel that way I do sometimes myself.

they've never experienced the dating scene or maybe they have and got crushed and will lower their expectations, morals, and values to get back on the horse. (not literally on the horse!)

i agree with maria. people are afraid to be alone, and usually settle because they don't think they can do better..........
i'm the opposite....i prefer to be alone. I won't settle. so i will prolly be single for the rest of my life..........

some people just dont like to be alone or they dont know how else to meet people
