I have a full-time job and I am in school full-time at night. I am having trouble staying motivated and focused at work because I feel so stressed and overwhelmed. I don't have the option of quitting my job or reducing my working hours. Some people suggest breathing exercises to alleviate stress. Does anyone else have suggestions? Things that work for you?

I fully understand what you are going through. I have been in a similar situation but let me tell you something, if you don't slow down NOW, you are going to have a serious breakdown as I did. I had a full time job and I was a full time student when I started feeling pretty anxious. I started having panic attacks and I really thought I was going to die. I took 2 days off of my job and took medicine that my doctor prescribed and went back to work and study. After 6 months of doing this I had a serious breakdown and I had to quit my job and my studies. Don't let this happen to you! Specially if you have children, think that if you die they are the ones that are going to suffer the most... if you can't quit or reduce your working hours, try studying half time for a while, and go to the doctor to get some medicines...I am taking xanax and Zoloft and it is working really well for me. The doctor told me to continue the treatment for a year, and as soon as I feel "normal" again, start considering going back to work...

That's a pretty full life. I've been there, I know it's tough. Telling you to exercise or do things with your friends isn't really help full I guess because you've got too little time left. But, there's a but. Make sure that you make time, when you're not at school and not at work, that will probably be in the weekend, that you have at least half a day to yourself. Do something you like, shopping, sun-center, have an outdoor lunch, things like that. Forget about what there's left to do but concentrate on your free time and make the most of it. The problem usually isn't that there is no free time but that when you do have it, your mind is occupied with what you have to do. Try to let it go when you spend time just for you.

Hope this can help you. Good luck.
