Ok. This is what works for me. Eat a meal before you smoke. Then drink a cup of strong coffee after you smoke. This gives you two benefits- 1. it kills the dreary tired feeling, leaving you with just the buzz- 2. caffeine dampens your appetite. You may find yourself adding a cup every now and then, or even skipping the coffee and enjoying the pig out session...
Oh, and don't bother trying water. Water kills the buzz... so does food.
WOW!!! There's a lot of nonsmokers on here! Its funny how obvious they make themselves.... and how little they know about the subject. Brain cell comments make them stick out.

Ummmm I smoke weed and have the CONSTANT munchies. I can eat what I want and I DO eat what I want. The trick is EXERCISE! Be it walking the dog, hiking, swimming. I'm a female also and if I don't exercise i'll get the extra blubber too. I'm not talking going to the gym type exercise..just anything to get the heart going. Take your Joint and go for a walk, bring munchies of course!

yo i just asked a question similar to this one not to long ago, lol. eat foods with lots of carbs cause they will fill you up. stay away from the sweets n **** tho or they'll just keep you coming back for more, they won't fill you up. personally, i have never been able to overpower cravings, only when there is no food around. hahaha. check out some websites to see which foods are healthy and will fill you up and taste good! good luck ;)

I don't smoke anymore, but this was the munchie food at our house.
Low-fat or fat-free food IS the point. Once you get used to it, junk food will make you queasy. The body likes healthy stuff. Jello is very good, and fun...the stuff you can make with fruit, berries and low-fat Cool Whip is amazing. So is fruit cut into wierd shapes, like pineapple stars. Get imaginative...it shouldn't be too hard to do that when you're high. Avoid salty stuff, it causes water retention.

Try yogurt, and lotsa lotsa water. For the "crunchy munchy", rice cakes or soy cakes. Try roasted soy nuts, too.
Trader Joe's best place for healthy munchie food.
I've been smoking for 15 years for a neurological disorder-my IQ is 149 and my brain cells are fine, thank you.

I really don't have the "munchies" when I burn, but I do drink a lot of juice and water. I think that helps curb my appetite.

The stoned munchies are here to stay. If you're gonna toke...you're gonna munch. No way around it that I've ever found.

Be active, do a bit of exercise and burn off the calories. There isn't an alternative if you aren't going to change your diet. The calories don't disappear by themselves.

Be careful, you'll end up like someone I knew in college. We used to call him "eat hot pizza, smoke dope, drink coke, smoke dope, eat cold pizza, smoke dope.........."
By the time we graduated he had to be pushing 300#
