If you talk to a true believer in God and the Bible they will be glad to talk to you. They will make every effort to help you. The "Christians" you have come across are not true be believer or they would have an open heart and be glad to show you God's ways. I will pray you come across a true believer.

Christianity is NOT a belief; it is a way of life. Being mean is not part of that way.

Christians, however are not perfect, and may occasionally do or say something mean. If this is a practice though, then by default they are not Christian.

John 13:15 - "For I (Jesus) set the pattern for you, that, just as I did to you, you should do also."

1 Peter 2:21 - "In fact, to this course you were called, because even Christ suffered for you, leaving you a model for you to follow his steps closely."

I've sat patiently while non Christians have berated me because of my belief in Jesus Christ... Then again, they may be insecure OR they may sense that you're not seriously seeking.

There are two sides to every story.

For example, this guy I was helping with getting new tires on his car. He tells the manager that the lady at the counter was rude and cut him off when he was trying to get his tires.

The manager was extremely concerned. I turn to the manager and said, "in her defense, he walked up to her, breaking in front of a customer she was helping and demanded her attention."

My friend was like, "was I?" I looked at him and said, "You didn't see her, standing here? You might need to go see if the eye doctor can set you an appointment."

He was attempting to scam the store out of money that he was not due.

Christians are people and some people are just mean. I'm a Christian and there are some sweet people out there I've met and I've met people who are so mean and it's like "Christian where?!" I would overlook the religious aspect and look at them as people who need extra kindness.

Because they are human beings.
And perhaps they are not Christians either, just church goers.
Just because a person says he is a Christian doesn't mean that he is.
Most people are mean.
Push the right buttons and you will find that out.
As far as a Christian being perfect, forget that idea. That is from dream land.

I'm a Christian and I've never "not talked" to someone becasue they're not Christian. My guess would be that they don't talk to you for some other reason.

Not all are mean. There just happens to be some grumpy annoying people on this site. To prove this I have a best friend who is into the Christain religion and he's the nicest guy I know.
So don't dispair. There are nice people in the world.

It is sad that you feel we are all mean. You unfortunately have been introduced to people who do not get the point of Jesus and His teachings. Jesus taught us to love everybody. Those claiming Christianity that teach the opposite are actually anti-Christian. Jesus is the Prince of peace. Peace be with you.

Not all Christians are mean, unfortunately we do have a lot of them that are plain ignorant, and you really see them on yahoo answers, I personally do not recognize them as real Christians.

I'm an athiest, I don't agree with many aspects of Christianity but I think you're making a pretty rash generalisation.
