For sure. It breaks the routine and chills everyone out. I take my parrot to work ... but he costs me a fortune in broken colour pencils!

I work in a school and if I took my dog to work in term time the my office would be jam packed with pupils, but he does come in with me in the holidays and he is very good, I walk him 3 to 4 times but I do have to come out of the office to do other things so we just step outside then.

My dog comes with me everyday we have a shop and he is very popular. He is also old, quiet, obedient, very friendly, and he has his basket where no-one can get to him when he needs a snooze. Unfortunately he won't last for ever and I can't imagine having another that would behave so impeccably. If your dog can have his own corner to sleep in is friendly and you can get out to give him/her some exercise during the day give it a try. There is really only one way to find out.

It really depends on your dog and your boss. If your boss allows dogs at work then you can try. But, your dog needs to be well tempered, potty trained, quiet (meaning he/she cannot bark all the time or at everyone he/she sees),can get along with anyone, and if there are other dogs at your job, he/she needs to be able to get along with them too. I bring my Chihuahua to work. He used to be very protective over me, but seeing new people really helped him calm down even more.

If you work for a company that allows you to bring your dog, then it's a great benefit that you should take advantage of!

Yes, Yes, Yes! that is if your going to take him inside with you and not leave him in the car while your inside. that's a big no, no.
I took both my goldens to work with me on several occasions. At lunch time we had a great walk and time to just get out and enjoy the day. It was a great stress release for me and my dogs loved all the attention they got from my fellow workers.
I always brought things for them to chew on and a dish for water for them.
