How heavy ur luggage is depends on what kinda seat ur on? Business, 1st class & economy differs.it also differs from Airline to Airline companies but i tink most is around 20kgs.

You are not allowed to carry ANY liquid into ur hand luggage n that includes nail polish.perfumes etc.Medicines are ok as long as not in liquid form.U can only carry 1 hand carry that doesnt exceed the weight of 5kgs.That is for International flights.Am not too sure if it applies if ure flyin within US itself. Most shops that sells travel bags have the specific measurements that u can refer to. U cant make sure things cant get lost but u can always lock ur bags wid a small safely lock n make sure u keep the keys safe n also tag ur bag wid ur name & address. If ure packin certain liquid things such as lotions, shampoo etc best u use a ziplock bag coz sometimes the change of pressure might make ure bottle leak a lil n u wudnt want that to be all over ur things. You can also check the airline ure flyin with thru their website regarding the weight n such. Good Luck!

I flew American. You can carry on a small dog in a Sherpa or other pre-approved soft-sided carrier. Each airline that allows animals onboard has a list of approved pet carriers on their websites. In addition to my ticket, I paid an additional $75 each way ($150 round-trip) for my dog's 'ticket'. Again, updated information will be available on the websites. Most airlines will not allow you to remove your pet from the carrier during flights. Carriers are to be stored under the seat in front of you. It sounds cruel to keep them contained, but if your pet felt distressed he/she might jump out of your lap, or even bite someone. The rules are for the animal's safety as well as the other people onboard. Chloe became very motion-sick during one of our flights. The attendant was nice enough to allow me to take her to the bathroom so I could clean her and her bedding as best I could. Bathroom...you have to hope he can hold it that long! Most dogs have a natural aversion to pottying in an enclosed area. I did carry line her carrier with an unscented potty pad (which was a godsend when she threw up!) but she never pottied during our trip, which was about 6 hours too. Just be sure he potties before you go into the airport. You might want to ask your vet if he/she can prescribe a tranquilizer. Traveling can be very stressful for pets.

Here's the US Transportation Security Administration's website with their list of permitted and prohibited items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm If you're traveling into or out of the UK and Europe, the restrictions are slightly different.... metric for one thing, and 100ml bottles (3.4 oz instead of 3 oz in a one liter bag 20 cm x 20 cm (8" x 8") instead of one quart 8" x 7.75").
If you're traveling in the US, I'd go with the smaller size bottles just to be safe, but the metric size plastic bag should be OK. Check the British Airways website: http://baa.com/
