Take her to the vet to make sure there are no medical reasons she is not eating. It could be as simple as a toothache or something much more serious.

And choclate is toxic to dogs, and can kill them.

First make sure what she's eating is a premium dog food. No by products and no corn.

Don't put any canned or anything in it - it gets stuck in their teeth and can decay and rot them out. Only feed dry except on a special occasion.

Feed on a schedule. Put the food down for 10-15 minutes then pick it back till the next feeding if she hasn't eaten.

To entice her to eat, put some water on it and put it in the microwave. It brings out the aroma making it much more alluring.

Good Luck

i would take her to the vet as soon as possible if she hasnt eaten in 4 weeks. it could be worms or worse. in the mean time get a wet food that is really stinky i recommend little ceasers that is the best and you need to look at what kind of dry food you are feeding maybe your dog has a picky personality

Was she eating at the pound? Are you feeding her the same type of food? I would find out why she was at the pound, if she was neglected it may take her a while to warm up to you and trust you. Try leaving the food out all the time and see if she eats when you aren't home or are sleeping.

This could be several issues
1. New home-new people -still may be traumatized by all it has gone through
2 I would definitely see a vet on this-sure it will cost $40-$50 but it will give you piece of mind knowing nothing is physically wrong-like worms or distemper

Call your vet, ask them if you should bring her in, since she is only one year old, she is able to get Parvo, and Parvo is very serious,

But you never know, maybe she was raised on people food,

ground beef
scrambled eggs
boiled chicken

there is plenty of other stuff to feed her hopefully she is staying hydrated and drinking lots of water

Ask the people at the pound if she was eating for them and what they fed her. If she gets hungry enough she will eat whatever you give her. If she goes more than 2 days without eating take her to the vet.

Cook some chicken meat (no bones) and rice. This diet is good for dog. Try treats too. You dog misses all her friends. Play with her and hug her.

Well, the best thing is to see your vet, which you should always do with any new dog within the first few days home.
