I think it is done for. If people aren't going to church to worship then how Christian are they? I think it's a positive thing-we don't need religion. One look at the US shows how dangerous and insidious it can be.

Yes, thankfully, the christian faith is a dying concept. People have seen through the lies, corruption, prejudiced, hatred and prejudiced that these faiths have brought on the world.
I don't think that christians have values anyway. The ones that are promoted in their fairy book - the "bible" seem bloody awful anyway. They are full of contradictions.
Why people feel the need to pray is beyond me, it doesn't do anything. There have been medical studies, that show prayer doesn't enhance healing compared to non-prayer. So, it seems like a completely useless practice, as does religion in general!
The C of E is not relevant at all. Its just a glorified landlord that owns too much, bleeds people dry, breeds hatred and spreads lies in its churches that can be used for something far more useful to mankind

The trouble is the teachers today just like the sound of there own voice and do not know God and some do not believe anyway,But you can believe me they will pay a big price one day .I tell people what the Lord has done in my life and the love he has shown me,the people in the street believe me,it is often the church leaders who don't,in fact they put all sorts in the way of the WORD the truth is they do not know it .Has the Lord not said if they know my voice they will know yours? Teachers are you in trouble;;

why do idiots always bring america into every answer as an example of christianity, like it's the vatican or something..
most people in the UK are agnostic. They may describe themselves of a particular religion but they are not really practising that religion. About 70% of the UK is not practising a religion.
The main groups that practise are the Muslims, but many people are too afraid to confront them about their religion so whenever they do something bad you hear the line, "all religions are just as bad, remember the crusades?"

I think christianity is a dying religion in this country, as sadly, most people are more concerned with having the latest gadgets, best car, etc.No doubt there are still people who are guided by christian values but there are more who are guided by greed and lust for power.Our country needs a serious spiritual awakening, rather than a christian one, as material possessions will be pretty useless in their next life.

I don't know about all of the UK, but I know in Derry (Londonderry) in Northern Ireland there are some very active Christians and Christian Churches. And they do pray. And they are not Church of England.
