My dad is always very nosy when it comes to "what I do." I am almost 18 and I am sick of it. He is angry because I might go out with someone who is a bit older than I am. It never bothered him before when I dated older guys. I know my dad worries a lot but he really has nothing to worry about. He doesn't even have a job. MY mom supports him. I just want him to be happy that I am happy.

What it is is that your dad is afraid you will get hurt by a guy who wont care about you. That's saying it in a nice way. See your dad knows the number one thing what guys want and he's afraid it will effect his "little girl". How does he know that? Because he's a guy. Let me say it this way; you could learn from your dad when it comes to finding a guy that's right for you AND wrong. Use your dad as a tool and not an enemy, you can still learn many things. Besides older people tend to know what they talking bout, but still doesn't decide what you want to do. Just talk it out with him.

Just because he doesn't have a job, it doesn't mean you should look down on him. A lot of things have changed in this world. Staying at home dads are one of it. Your dad is just concerned about you and doesn't want any bad things to happen to you. Is that wrong? Would you rather that he doesn't care about you at all? Is that what you want? If not, just shut up and thank God that you have a very caring father. Maybe he trust you, but it's the men out there whom he doesn't trust. He's a man, don't you think he knows better of what other men are thinking out there? Stop being so naive and immature. He's only concerned about you, and you KNOW you're being such a b*tch right now.

Until the day you get married your dad is going to be on your business. Dad's love there daughters and they only wants the best for them,your daddy loves you and cares a lot about you, accept it. There is nothing you can do about it.

He probably just wants what is best for his little girl and doesn't want her to get hurt and make mistakes. Maybe him not having a job is part of why he is so nosey. Maybe he feels like he has let his family down financially and is trying to make up for it in other areas of his life, like you. Maybe he is worried because he wants better for you and doesn't want to see you end up with someone like him, jobless. Talk to him about it and find out what his real concern is.
