Every limo place I have called/E-mailed has had a three hour minimum. I only need the limo for one hour. Is it going to be like this no matter who I contact? I am in St. Petersburg, FL. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it.

Probably. Just go with the three hour fee before they get booked and you have no limo.

Unfortunately you have to rent a limo with the minimum amount of time, this is to ensure you do not run into traffic or there is a car accident or the limo gets a flat or any number of reasons. Trust me you need the limo for at least 3 hours.

Most limo companies have at least a 3 hour minimum except when you reserve limos to take you to the airport. Instead of renting a limo, I recommend you reserve sedan service. Most major limo companies also rent sedans (Lincoln Town Cars, Cadillac 300, etc.) for a flat fee without a minimum.

Another option if you have the extra expense to spare is to reserve a wedding package to provide limo transportation for you and your parents to the ceremony, limo transportation for you and your fiance to your reception, and sedan service to take the two of you to your hotel afterward.

I agree w/ Brenda4ever... I am having the same problem..our ceremony site and reception site are like a mile apart..I do want to go for a drink after the ceremony, however, it won't take 3 hours!! getting very discouraged about having to pay for time that I don't need...although I do understand the limo services point..it's just frustrating...

if every place has a 3 hour minimum you have to take what you can get or deal with not having a limo

You have to tell them you only want the limo for one hour, it might not work though, if they stick to their minimums. Does anyone you know use a limo service frequently? They might be more willing to bargain with you.

Especially if your wedding is on a Saturday there is going to be a 3-4 hour service minimum ... all companies are going to be like that in the wedding industry. Your best bet would be to find a friend who has a classic car that you could borrow. Instead of getting you a wedding gift, that could be their gift to you - the use of a very nice car for free. A lot of couples have friends who do certain things, whether it is flowers or baking, that are offered in lieu of a gift.

why not use the limo for three hours, you could have the limo take the guys to the church or where ever and them come get you girls. take you to photos then the reception?

Find someone that has a mini van (preferably white). I am sure someone in your family or close friends families have one. This will fit all of you. Then decorate it to the theme of your wedding. Maybe you can even find that wash off paint that they use at car dealerships to write your names on the back window or some other special saying. I am sure this will be very cheap considering you might be able to borrow the van for free and the only cost would be the decorations.

That's the way it works. Call everyone in the yellow pages, but I doubt you'll find any different. Maybe if you just needed a town car? they are very nice and they may not have the 3-hour minimum.
