I'd like to fix my not-so-great credit and improve my score. I'm looking into the possibility of working with a consolidator or credit improvement service; I've heard good things about companies such as Ameridebt or Lexington Law. Any recommendations?

Note: I'm engaged to a mortgage broker, so he has a lot of experience with the credit bureaus, scoring, improving credit, etc. He also holds seminars on financial advising. So I could probably do this myself or with his help, but I'd rather take it to an outside company who specializes in this. I don't mind paying fees, unless they are astronomical.
