Ive BEEN addicted to meth. Most people say not to substitute another drug for meth after you quit. I say, do whatever you have to to stop using. Smoke weed or drink more... whatever keeps you off the tweak is good. STOP HANGING OUT WITH TWEAKERS. You may not realise how many people you know that use. You have to cut them out of your life completely to quit. Meth is too adicitive to keep connections with people who still use. The "treatments" for curing a meth addiction are willpower and suppoer from friends. Period. Oh, and there is a great program called Crystal Meth Anonymous that can help you acheive that. There are meetings in all areas. If you or someone you know is addicted to meth, do all you can to get them off as soon as you can.

There is an array of offerings for curring drug addictions. All of them work when the addict wants to stop. It's that simple.
If the addict isn't interested in stopping, it's useless to attempt any kind of reform.
The treatment for meth really isn't any different than any of the other drug treatments. I can't pigeon hole any specific treatment method, they all have merit. One thing I believe is: A user or addict needs to be clean for a year before they are really cured. If you are still clean after a year then you have a chance of becoming a human being again.

Because the effects of methamphetamine are so serious...only professional treatment is suggested.
Working in law enforcement for over 30 years...I've seen some bad things with the drug!
First and foremost...you have to WANT to seek treatment and have PLENTY of support available to help you through this type of treatment.
Best wishes!

Cold turkey that's the only way for sure with people that care about you. Cold turkey is something you have to see to believe and some never go back to it because of what they went through.

Seek professional help only- nothing anybody is going to do on there own is going to be enough! The will needs to be there to. When there is a will there is a way.
