I reckon they have - used to be huge, but now gone in two gulps!

Cadburys creme eggs definitely have got slightly smaller.This is because the weighing technology they use has improved.The weight stated on the wrapper hasn't changed but they used to make them just a little bit bigger to make sure they were at least that weight.Otherwise Cadburys would have fallen foul of the trading standards people.
They reckon they have saved thousands of pounds to date.I know because I used to work for Sartorius Ltd that sold them the weighing machines.

Manufacturers keep their prices the same because they public don't like price rises- So they just make things smaller. It's a price rise by other means. It was even more pronounced in the Price and Wage freeze imposed by the government. The workers didn't get a pay rise but the manufacturers just refuced the weights etc. Eventually of course, the price must rise or the product gets so small people will catch on.

Yes! They have. I've also noticed that the yellow yolk part inside the white cream has gotten smaller and is sometimes nonexistant! Bummer! I still love them though, they were my favorite to get in my basket as a kid. I really like now though, the Cadbury Mini-Eggs with the candy shell, try them you'll love them!

They used to be the size of a medium hen's egg. Now they are the size of a pigeon's egg.
Since i was already in my 30s when they got smaller, I haven't got any bigger since, so that is not why they seem smaller now.

Hi,if they have not got smaller my mouth must have got bigger.I use to be able to lick the egg for ages now a blink & its gone.I love them.Yummy

definatley - used to take about five minutes to suck all the cream out - now gone in a flash - but seems like all nice chocolaty things are getting smaller . i think its a conspiracy to try and get us healthy

yes they have become smaller in size due to increased manufacturing costs and trying to keep consumer price down

Don't know about getting smaller (perhaps my mouth is getting bigger?!) but the price HAS GONE UP!!!

You're right! No idea how much they used to weigh, but they are SO much smaller now.
