It is def an ulcer caused by stress. Seems like u are depressed I think that I would def look into getting some sort of anti depressant. You need to do something or the ulcers will just get worse, believe me it isnt a good feeling. I KNOW Because I am no longer depressed I still have that feeling in my stomach when I just get the slightest bit upset...it could lead to something really bad. Like now I have really bad stomach problems. Whatever "it" is it will get better. No matter how much you think it won't.

First off, break it apart. Physical and mind.
Much of the lonliness, depression, and other is caused by S.A.D.S. (seasonally-affected disorder syndrome)It is a condition that occurs during the winter months and can be attributed to the lack of sunshine. Night shift workers also suffer from this condition.
Any time you can get out into the sunlit day, go for it. Even seeing it helps. Natural daylight beats lightbulbs anyday. If you get a chance to sit near a window - take it.
Check your diet out for the stomach pains and dehydration and diarrhea. What you eat can also have a negative effect on the body. Eat plenty of live green veges, fruits and back off from processed foods and fats and caffienne.
I know in the winter cold one tends to sit inside with a book instead of being active. Not good.
Be active whether it is housecleaning or walking or shovelling the driveway.....DO something. Your body will thank you for it by processing the foods you ate correctly to feed itself.
If you are active, your mind is oxygenated. It gives you a fresh outlook.
>>That is why PE is such an important part of school life.<< one functions better after physical exertion.
Sounds like alot but take it in chunks and always DO it instead of thinking you should do it.

Sounds to me like it's an ulcer accompanied with depression. But that's just my opinion. How long have you had these symptoms? I suggest as I am sure most people will to see a doctor. I have an ulcer and it is dull "gnawing" pain in the top middle of my stomach, like in between your breasts almost. My doctor prescribed me prevacid and it worked remarkably well. I actually thought I had cancer or something, it hurt so bad. I also had throwing up and diarrhea. It also sounds like you are depressed too though. Go to the Doc and I hope you start feeling better soon!!

Christina, this sounds as if it could be a form of depression. I know this because I have gone through this myself a few times, each time being a little easier easier to handle. Depression can morph itself into various things including bodily sensations that resemble stomach sickness or aching muscles. Crying spells come and go throughout the day and a feeling that food is foreign and inedible is there. This could be what you are experiencing, and I would urge you to contact a physician or a hospital emergency room. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Depression is a neurobiological disorder that is treatable. I know. I have come back from it and it gets easier each time. Please let a family member or close friend know how you're feeling. You do not have to advertise it, but it makes it easier. Don't think that you have to come back to being better within days. Allow yourself to feel how you feel and know that at this time of year--my first episode was during mid-February 2001--it's quite normal. If you have thoughts of hurting yourself CALL A HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY. If you need anything feel free to contact. Good luck. You'll find yourself on the otherside.

Sounds more like depression. You can fix the dehydration by drinking lots of water, and the diarrhea by taking an overthe counter med like Fowlers wild strawberry extract. Eat small amounts and nibble all day so you don't get the stomach pain from loss of appetite. Ulcers can be cured, usually with a prescription. Stop suffering at least physically. Re: depression, see a doctor for meds, and he/she will probably recommend psychological therapy. You can probably see a counsellor on your own too.

I don't buy the depression answer. I see depression as a side-effect of what appears to be a real digestive disorder. I recommend seeing a gastro-intestinal doctor and possibly an immunologist about potential non-IgE food allergies. I had the same symptoms and everyone told me I was depressed - of course I was depressed, I was sick and no one would believe me.
Try a diet free from complex plant proteins and commonly known allergens like milk, soy, wheat, corn, and tomatos. Drink a lot of water and avoid all processed foods and seasonings. Even vitamins may contain amounts of allergens so look for one that is allergy-free.
The typical allergy tests look for sudden IgE reactions, but what you have sounds more like an IgG slow-reacting allergy. IgG allergies take 3-7 days to fully resolve so if you eat the bad item even once a week you may never feel like you're getting better.

Loss of appetite:
- irritation or infection of the digestive tract
- adverse reaction or side effect of a drug
- virus infection
- stomach inflammation caused by alcohol or spices
- effect of stress
- temporary emotional situation
- kidney disorder
- liver disorder
- early signs of cancer or other disorder
- underactive thyroid gland
- vitamin deficiency caused by alcohol
- disorder of the red-blood cells
- effect of hormone change during pregnancy
- mild depression
i was going to go on and list all the potential causes to each of your symptoms, when i realized something. All the symptoms together point at depression - feeling that you cant handle life, lonlieness, loss of appetite.
the dehydration and diarraea are probobly just caused by the fact that you are not eating (because of the lack of appetite). So try to drink some water to stay hydrated, make sure to take a multivitamin especially because you have appetite loss, take it easy, its ok to have depression, go to the doctor and tell her/him whats going on.
Hope that helps!
p.s you also might have a hormone imbalance or may be pregnant. perhaps the doctor will order some blood work
Good luck!
