No, in fact I was disappointed at the end of Hannibal (the novel, not the movie) because Clarice was running off with him, although I'm sure her cooperation was drug-induced.
I like their relationship as is: professional, respectful, friendly, with just a hint of an underlying attraction...

They already do live happily ever after if you read "Hannibal" he stopped using the drugs and she stayed anyway, they even have nookie. The only independant thing she did was send Ardelia a ring and a note to say she was ok.
