One of the questions I was asked here when I went to se the doctor for an exam was if I had had a rabies shot lately. I almost asked him if I had to wear a tag on my colar.

After checking some I found that here it is quite comon for people to have rabies shots even though they have not been bitten by an animal. Rabies is here so I guess it is a good idea so now I have had them.

I did a while ago, but I was working in a lab animal facility at the time. I wouldn't think that it would be necessary for the general public to get one, unless of course your doctor can make money off it.. it's a fairly expensive vaccine.

if u get biten by an animal, u still need to go to a doctor and get shots.. the vaccine only increases the amount of time you have after the bite, before the shot.

so perhaps they are a bit pointless..

Next time, walk around the doctor a few times on all fours, sniff his/her butt, then lift your leg as if you will be urinating.
