Yes. It is what often is referred to as a "minced" oath. In other words, a watered -down oath or curse, etc.

Such:

Gosh (God)
Jeez (Jesus)
Criminey (Christ)
Judas Priest (Jesus Christ)
Darn (damn)
Dagnabit (God damn it)

etc.

God wants us to be careful what we say.... minced oaths are to be avoided.

god bless

It is the Gospel of the Good News - and it is within reach IF you know how to do it (See II Corin 12:1-4). The Kingdom of God is something that can be experienced and can be done all by yourself. You go about seeking it by learning how to access and then access it. It can be found through diligent practice and doing it. Why it is to be sought is several reasons: 1. Heaven/Kingdoms is something that can only make sense to you IF you experience it yourself. 2. When you've experienced it, there's nothing to compare. 3. It is easier to stay in compliance with Holy Law by knowing what it is not what it is not. The attraction of good things comes from the Knowledge and Obedience to Holy Law NEVER 'belief' and 'faith'. In fact, 'belief' and 'faith' are the VERY things keeping people away from Holy and Righteous TRUTH! The instructions on How to do it are in The Anointed, The Elect, and The Damned!

Yes. Saying "for goodness sake" doesn't take God's name in vain but still gets the point across.

For goodness' sake is a stupid expression. God has better things to worry about than semantics, say whatever you want, this is a free country.

Indeed it does. It is a euphamism for "God's sake." As the previous person mentioned, it is said in an effort to avoid taking the Lord's name in vain. :-)
