What Biosilk product are you talking about? You would want to only use a thermal protective spray before flat ironing. If you are talking about the silk therepy remember that it is a silicone based product and it only really coats the top of the hair shaft. The CHI protective spray is good or the Biolage thermal spray.

If you want one that lasts you need to spend the extra money for a good one. I'm not sure what brand my step-daughter has, but she has had hers for about 2 1/2 years and it still works great. Any type of hair product for heat damaged hair will work.

I do not use Biosilk, but I will tell you to try super skinny shampoo and conditioner from paul mitchell. My hair is wavy and after one use my hair just blow dried straight and shiny. I don't even use a flat iron any more.

Use "Fantasia Frizz Buster Serum",clear bottle pinkish purple top... I use it....and it protects against split ends and humidity out side...like when its raining...and your hair gets all messy looking..:)....it also makes this real healthy look to your hair....you may find it at K-mart or wal-mart...diffinately at a beautysupply if not that then use serum by SHINE....
