It's like a stutter or a slur. I don't want people to think I'm drunk or stoned. I'm not. Is this common?

It is somewhat common. I have the same problem, actually. I think it's because of the way the tongue touches the upper portion of the mouth upon saying a word with an 'R' in it.

Don't feel bad about it; speech impediments are very common. If you want to get rid of it, you can find a speech therapy program and it will help. Yours is very mild so it will probably be treated quickly and easily.
