lol. Good question

When I got mine done, I just waited until it was the summer, and I was good to wear sandals, but even then, there was significant rubbing. What felt the best was clean, white sport socks in snug fitting shoes, to minimize any sort of friction.

take it from the expert! (you know i have huge foot tattoos) you can't wear shoes or socks. only flip flops for two weeks! i tried to wear shoes after 12 days on my first one and it hurt so bad i started limping again. even tho it may not be swolen still it still isn't a good idea. also mine took a bit longer to heal than my other tattoos. you definitely have to be able to go shoeless.
i guess if you got teeny tiny ones it wouldn't be as much of a deal... but hey, if you're going to tattoo your feet... then tattoo the whole thing!

i have a tatoo on the top of my foot and i used a & d ointment and seran wrap, and wore only flip flops. I would say regular shoes are a bad idea they may rub, creating a scab then take out your color. Where my flip flops rubbed over the bony part it took out the color. Remember too if you do loose color go get it fixed ASAP I made a mistake and waited 6 months and the color didn't hold again.

It does sound like something in those specific inks your physique in basic terms does not react properly too. you're able to bypass throughout the time of the time, difficulty, soreness, and price of having hypersensitive reaction attempting out accomplished, or in basic terms ward off the colour/kind of the inks you have had issues of. it may no longer additionally be the pigment yet between the binders or preservatives or ??? Sucks nonetheless.

you should use a non petroleum based anti biotic and gauze( petroleum based antibiotics wont allow your tattoo to breath properly therefore prolonging the healing process), after three days, start applying lotion and clean regularly through out the day, but not too much because it will dry your skin out.

i have one on each of my feet. both times i only had 2 or 3 days before i had to return to work. i put tons of lotion on, then gauze, then my sock, and then very loosely tied my shoe. it was uncomfortable, but they both healed nicely.
