I have plenty of family and friends tha aren't Christian and so according to the Bible, unless they are saved, won't go to heaven. But these are people I love and if they aren't in heaven it won't be perfect. So what gives?

My sentiments exactly. I have had people tell me that those in heaven will not remember the ones who didn't make it. This is part of the reason I have a hard time with taking the bible literally. I don't think God works the way people percieve that he does.

No one has to go to Heaven. If you don't want to go, don't go. But you are right. There will be a lot of people missing and in that sense heaven won't be perfect.

When we are told that Heaven is perfect it is in a different sense. It is that the people who are there will be perfect. They will act in harmony. There will be no discord, no contention, no war. Primarily peace and love will abound. I don't think our limited minds are really capable of fully understanding it all right now.

Welcome to christian contradiction number 32, 741. You've discovered yet another logical contradiction on your own, well done.

You will, of course, get many answers to this from christians that will attempt to explain it away or justify it, but those answers will not be logical (or backed by fact or reason). One cannot use reason to try and justify a thing which is unreasonable in its entirety.

Best to just take the intelligent route: there's no such thing as heaven. There's no evidence of any kind that there is a god. Nobody is going to hell. So you don't have to worry about your friends and family, and you don't have to ignore logic and reason to try and justify this contradction along with the many thousands of others in superstitious, mythical religion. Just let it go. :)
Peace.

If you loved ones do not make it, it will be because they really would not have been happy there. Would you want them there and be really miserable? If you study it out a bit you will find that you will find out why they did not make it and will see that it was the only thing a loving God could do was to let them go to destruction. That is in the first thousand years as you will find in Revelation. then after the destruction of the ones that did not make it, all tears will be wiped from the eyes and God will wipe out all memory of them so it will be a perfect place as you will not even remember they were ever alive.

Heaven's perfections will not be based on the people we love being there or not, it will be based on what he has planned for those who believe on him and live according to his precepts. Whether or not we are or were good people won't matter, what will matter is how we live the life he has given to us, and whether or not we accepted him as our personal savior. It will be perfect because all of the correct people will be there based upon who loves him and who denied him.

heaven is what you make of it. You can believe that they must be saved in order to get into heaven, or you can believe that god loves all, and will accept them no matter what. The choice is yours.

the bible teaches ,we are responsible for attending to our own salvation. you witness to your family and friends and pray in the name of jesus for them. you plant the seed and god wiillwater it. there is noway to heaven but by the blood of jesus. the lord in his own good time will save them. they will have to come to a realization that they are lost, before they can be saved. you have to stand before god on your own two feet andanswer for not accepting jesus. to be a christian this is the thing you have to do. alot of people are afraid to do this because they will not measure up or they will have to give up their sins and they enjoy them.life is much better knowing that i do sin,but jesus is my go betweenbefore god and he has already paid the price for usperfect? only thru christ our lord.when we are with him there iis no imperfection. remember this and don't fret.god is in charge. not man!!!

Well religious people will no doubt come up with several unsatisfactory explanations but the real one might not be much nicer to hear.

None of you are going to heaven. It doesnt exist. You dont have a soul, nor does anyone else.

I think growing up is about accepting the world the way it is, not wishing it was something different.

Then you need to pray for them and get them saved. I imagine our minds will be wiped clean of earth stuff whe we're in heaven and our emotions won't work in the same way.

Somebody once told me that god was gonna give everyone a type of "holy amnesia" to force them to forget their loved ones who aren't in heaven.
