Indirectly, there's plenty.
Look at the story of doubting Thomas, its better to have 'faith' than look at evidence and use your brain - that wasn't the first example by any standard.
The tower of Babel, man was given lots of different languages - why? To stop ease of communication to man would stay ignorant.
The tree of knowledge. God wanted us to stay ignorant. Well sorry, we didn't and we know you're just a silly bronze-age myth so tough luck. Now when will the theists figure this out?

To answer your question I think you can point to one particular passagae in Genesis.
The story of doubting thomas and Jesus' words are contradictory, they advocate ignorance of wordly things but also knowledge of the lord and things like that, so they are not the best example. BUT...
If you look at the story of Adam and Eve the reason they were kicked out of paradise was because they ate the apple, the important part however is that the tree the apple came from, was the tree of knowledge. This to me is a clear analogy of how human knowledge, advancement, and technology have lead to our suffering, and we would still be in "paradise" if we knew nothing (not my view just answering your question).

No. Though the wisdom of men is often questioned ,as we have such a great track record with being wrong, it should be.

I don't think so, but once you promote self sacrifice, (altruism) it starts with the mind and then spreads like cancer.

Nope, sorry you can't "get in" that easy. You'll have to do some reading first.
