What are the prizes awarded in the circuit tournanments? I can find information about the buyins, and I know the cash prize payouts, but what are the other benefits to playing in one of these? Do they give entries into the WSOP, or entries into higher level ciruit events?

They have circuit tournaments that start as low as $300 buy in. Then $500, $1500 right up to $10,000.

I've only played in one which was a $500 event. The top prize was around $64,000. But the pay out is going to vary depending on how many people enter the tournament. They take the prize pool and divide it by the number of places they are going to pay, weighted heavily towards first place.

The winner of the bigger events also gets a gold WSOP circuit ring, which is like a WSOP bracelet only a little less prestigious.

The way to win a seat into a WSOP event in Vegas is to play a satellite either online or right there in Vegas.

Yes you can enter a satellite for the wsop event by playing the circuit event, for example, from the 5 to 14 march, next month in atlantic city(one stop of the circuit event) you have I believe 8 events, and some of them are satellites.
The cicuit event start on sept 06 and will be over and of may 07.

Take care

It depends on the event you may be looking at and the number of people who enter the event. They have satellites you can enter that are as low as 35 bucks or as high as 1000 dollars for the main event. The buy In's are different, for example i played the first event at ballys and the buy-in was 330 dollars and 345 people entered the event, the first place payout was 45k. Just look up on there website to see how big the buy-in are for each event. Good luck...
