My husband is the third and desperately wants our 1st born son to be the 4th. I do NOT want my hubby and son to have the same name so I am trying to think of a good nickname. Suggestions, please!

In prep schools, #4 was usually referred to as SKIP

You could call him by his initials. I knew a guy that was the 5th with his name and everyone new him as Ret.... for Ralph Edward Taylor. If you want to stick with the numbers game, you could go with Quad.
