what are supplies that belong in a bomb shelter

Bottled water, canned foods,military MRE meals are good, batteries, radio with short wave, weather and aircraft bands,
clothing. first aid supplies. Potassium iodide pills for
radiation poisioning. Mabye a port-a-potty, and a gun.

How big is your shelter? So called Bomb shelters from the past are no longer bomb shelters. If another country fires a nuke, it is all over for the world. Why prolong the pain in a hole. Now if your talking a shelter for tornado's and other storms then a weeks supply of food, water, medicine along with copies of important papers. If you live in a small town away from big cities then you might add a extra week to your list. Don't count on the Red Cross or any other group to assist. Plan for the worst and hope for the best.
