Just take it in baby steps; Try driving around the block every day and then increase your distance after a couple of days or when you feel comfortable. Each time you venture out a little further you will begin to feel the ease of driving and should be able to conquer your fears. Good Luck.

I'm not sure. I have the same thing, except it's only in bad weather and snowy roads. People get so mad at me and laugh and make fun of me all the time. I just try to deal with it as I'm going along. And say "O.K.....I'v made it this far and it's not been too bad....I can do it!" Doesn't always work though. Sometimes I'm just too scared. People are such idiots out there! They are rude and obnoxious to other drivers, especially if they are not speeding and weaving in and out of traffic, and that makes you more nervous. If people were nicer out there, I think I could handle this more. Good luck, I know how ya feel!

Why not go to a really good driving school? I mean, like a race car driving school, where you really learn different driving techniques.

Also, outfit your car with safety features such as 4 point harness and wear a helmet.

You think I'm kidding, but I'm not. The driving lessons and safety gear will give you extra confidence. Seriously.

One option is just to accept your fear. Take up bike riding instead. I know people that ride bikes to work. There's many people out there who don't have licenses to drive. Ride your bike to places you want to go. I also know people that ride there bikes 100 miles or more in a day. There's a bike club in the area, and those bikeriders are so physically fit and look good! No one says you have to drive.

listen the first thing to do is to figure out why your afraid in the first place after you can figure out that just think the chances of it happening again are really slim and just take it slow if you can drive when you really need to you can drive anytime.
