Dark circles under the eyes are generally caused by dehydration.
You need to drink more clean fresh water. You should drink at least 8 glasses per day.
Do not drown yourself. It takes time for your skin to rebuild itself.
Use a concealer until then.
Drink purified water. Stay away from public water sources since they contain a lot of chlorine. Drink bottled water if possible.
Do not drink alcohol because it dehydrates you. Cut down on coffee consumption. Don't smoke. Smoking is very bad for your skin.
Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Take a healthy multivitamin and get more vitamin C & E too.
Do not exceed recommended dosages. It will not speed the progress and may cause undesired side effects.
Skin creams and ointments can hinder the progress and damage the skin tissue. Do not use them. Wash the area with a gentle moisturizing soap only. Let the skin breath when you sleep and when you are not wearing make up.
This is not a quick fix. It will take many weeks or months before the circles disappear but your patience will be rewarded.
Your face will glow with good health.
Use a good concealer until then but don't use too much.
Concealers may look good at home when you apply them, but will show more distinctly under different lighting conditions.
Ever see a girl with white circles under her eyes, particularly in photographs? She used too much concealer.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.
If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

get a good concealer, i use stila from sephora, it works really well and a little bit goes a long way.
i have dark circles under my eyes as well, i think it's an eastern european thing. what i find helps me the most to get rid of them, is getting enough sleep regularly. of all the things i've tried to help me with my circles, and i've tried a lot, more sleep helped the most dramatically. get at least 8 hours a night, and the circles should fade soon.

I'm assuming that you are in perfect health and that your undereye circles are genetic. I use dermablend to cover mine, it looks the most natural. You cannot get rid of them with creams. No matter what the cosmetic industry tells you, the only thing cream does is hydrate or maybe bleach your skin (which is not what you need). Wrinkle creams are the biggest scheme EVER!! Wrinkles are caused by declining elastin in your skin. You cannot replace it. Another thing is that collagen doesn't absorb through skin so any company claiming they have collagen in their product is useless. OK, time to get off my soap box.
About the undereye circles, to get rid of them completely you would have to have skin resurfacing with a CO2 laser. I plan to have this done when I have my "Swan" makeover after my Gastric banding surgery.

Hi Zuckie, have you ever tried slicing a cucumber and taking two slices and putting one over one eye and one over the other? I know of a lot of people who do this,I dont know how long it will take for the dark circles to fade, but i do know that the beauty salons do this.Look into it,it just may do the trick for you. Good Luck! Jan.

Not sure about a permanant fix, but yellow concealers under your make-up hide dark circles really well.
