I just bought a peke a poo, he is 12 wks old. I need help, he whines and barks all night in his cage and I will take him out however as soon as we come back in he poops and pees in his cage. I heard these dogs are very intelligent and train well, but I just can't find his "trigger". Does and peke a poo owners have any suggestions?

If the dog is going in it's crate, the crate is probably too big. The crate should only be big enough for the dog to stand, turn around and lay down. It's a misconception to "Get a big crate to give the dog room" because they will designate one area of the crate for sleeping and one for going potty.

Either get a smaller crate, or if it's a metal one, get a divider at the pet store (if it didn't come with one...).

How long do you keep him in the crate? When they whine or bark that is a sign of stress and/or boredom. They should only be kept in the crate overnight or when you can't watch them.
Take the dog on walks often and play fetch with him. He needs lots of exercise and attention. You do that and you will not have those problems any more.
Make sure he has toys and a chew bone in the crate to make his crate more pleasurable.
