on each of her legs, she has red lines. they have been there now for 3 weeks. they are neither fading or getting worse. they are not raise, and do not seem to bother her. they just appeared one day. we thought they were scratches at first, but the lines on both shins are at about the same height and the same length. We havent been able to find any objects around the house that could have caused them.

has anyone seen something like this before? or have any idea what they could be ?

No idea, but at her next well child appt, I would definitely point them out to her doctor. Or, if her appt isn't coming up soon, call the doctor in case they want to see her before that.

Get off line and take your child to a doctor. You shouldn't wait so long when you see things like this that you can't explain. Any time your child has a skin problem that lasts more than 2-3 days, contact the doctor - sooner if there is fever involved.

Red lines could indicate infection, is she crawling still? It may be from that too.

Does she have any pimples or boils? My daughter had staph and they told me to watch for lines. It meant the staph was in her blood stream.
