Hepatitis "C" can go away if you are successful in treating it. Depending on the genotype of the strain of HCV that you have, you can undergo a 6 month or 1 year treatment of a combination treatment of the drugs Interferon and Ribavirin. Its a combination of injection - Interferon (maybe weekly) and daily pills - Ribavirin. This treatment has proven highly effective in eradicating the Hep. C virus. The name of the cocktail is Pegatron. Please note that side effects of this treatment are sometimes severe so you have to weigh the pros/cons, changes to hair texture, you slim down a bit which could be a good thing and you are very fatigued which is as a result of the fact that your levels eg., hemoglobin will be out of whack during the treatment. First hand knowledge says its worth it.
Most importantly...take good care of yourself and get yourself a good Gastroenterologist. Good luck

I wish I could say, "yes", but, that would be a lie. Hep C is extremely serious and CAN lead to death. Remember, the rules apply for the person with HepC that apply for anyone with HIV.
Please, check for HIV when you have Hep C. Do not have sex with anyone until you understand how contageous it is. Two nights ago, I had a long talk with a man whose wife had died of Hep C, and now, he lives with it. He seems perfectly healthy to look at, and to hear him speak. Hep C 1 is the worst, find out what kind you are talking about. This is an honest answer, the worst type of question to answer truthfully. I hope you or the person with HepC gets lots of Dr. help, and SOON!

There are six different strains of hepatitis C, known as genotypes, and some genotypes respond better to treatment than others.
The most common genotypes of hepatitis C in England are genotypes 1 and 3.
With treatment, around half of people with genotype 1 will be cured, and around eight out of 10 people with genotype 3 will be cured.
In 2 year agos, my friend found many ways to treat his liver diseases so he found a web and admit it,he know the natural measures to have effective treatment. you can see the web at here: http://adola.net/go/fattyliver-bible/

It can in a small percentage of people. Everybody is different and I would only ask a licensed doctor health questions such as this.
