I am a big nascar fan and does anyone find it suspicious that Harvicks Goodwrench sponsors don't sponsor him anymore. To me it almost seems like they are waiting for Junior to join Childress Racing so they can sponsor him and maybe bring his dads car out of retirement. I think that would be the coolest thing ever. Anyone else think this?

I AM THINKING THE SAME AS YOU. IF ANYONE DESERVES TO DRIVE THE BLACK #3 IT SHOULD BE DALE JR. AND ONLY DALE JR. I THINK HIS DAD WOULD BE VERY PROUD TO HAVE HIS SON TAKE HIS PLACE IN HIS CAR. I KNOW I MISS SEEING THAT CAR ON THE TRACK. I KNOW IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT HIM IN IT BUT DALE DESERVES TO DRIVE IT. GO DALE JR.

That's good thinking, but many articles have said that Dale Sr. has made a life-long contract for Dale Jr. to be sponsored by Budweiser. So even if he does move to the 3 car, more than likely it will have the Bud logo, not the Goodwrench. I have read many articles on that.

Give it up guys. As much as you wish it to happen, Dale Jr isn't Dale Sr. It's like saying Kyle Petty is the same racer as Richard Petty. Those days are gone. Dale Jr isn't going to win any more races at RCR than he's going to win at DEI. However, as a typical American marketing ploy, if you throw enough money at something the whores come a runnin'. And after all, isn't that what NASCAR is all about?

Budweiser has stated that relative to NASCAR...they will sign a contract with any team...AFTER Dale Jr. signs that same contract. Where Jr. goes....there too goes Bud.

As for GM not sponsoring the 29 car....I believe that they are still "a minor sponsor".

Dale Jr. has a lot to prove before he is worthy of driving the # 3 car. Let's face it, Junior is just not the driver his father was. He is no longer a force in NASCAR. Not even at the super-speedways he used to dominate. I can't see anyone but Dale Jr. ever driving the # 3, but he really has a long way to go in my mind. Being Dale Sr.'s son is just not reason enough to give him the most famous car in racing.

The question is, IF!!!! and when he leaves!! let them have their contract talks first and then figure where he will drive next year! If he stays at DEI he will have controlling intrest, If not he will go to Childress and he will drive #3 with Bud all over the sheetmetal!!

No, Goodwrench isn't waiten on Jr. Jr. will bring Budwieser with him to RCR next year, and Childres will bring the #3 out of retirement if Jr. wants him to, he allready said that.

That would be cool, but it ain't going to happen. JR is DEI and as much as Dale and Theresa dont get along, she's not a stupid business person. That's why she brought in outside help to make sure the new contract gets done.

Possible, but I doubt it. There is no way Bud would give up Junior. From what I understand Bud plans to move with him if he switches teams. I also don't think Junior would drive his dad's car.
