(my mom won't let me get highlights)
if this is true then give details on how to do the procedure and how many times to repeat it for results.

It doesn't make it lighter, but it does make your natural highlights stand out more...as does lemon juice. If you're using tea, then steep the tea bag in water...once it is nice & dark, you would either let it cool down to a comfortable temperature so you don't burn your skin, or add a little cold water to regulate the temperature. Once you wash your hair the way you normally would, then you would pour the tea over your hair, thoroughly saturating it...wait a few minutes, then lightly rinse it. Same goes for using lemon juice.

Yes it does. Actually, I live in Miami. We buy this shampoo, found it in the baby section made with Manzanilla, it's from Spain... same thing.
