To be honest, Lothian Road isnt the best place for eaterys but there are some places pretty close where you can get a good Sunday lunch.

If you walk to the bottom of Lothian Road and cross, Indigo Yard is just off Queensferry Street and has a good brunch menu. Rick's is also good, as someone has already mentioned.

The great thing about Edinburgh is how small it is - if you hop on a bus down to Leith which will take about 15 minutes, the Kings Wark on the Shore does fantastic breakfast/brunches. The Granary, which is across the road also has a good menu.

If price isn't an issue, then I would highly recommend "Bombay Bicycle." Although, it's actually 'not' on Lothian Rd., but on the same street but further down south, just barely past Tollcross on Brougham St. It's not a far walk though.

Otherwise, there is a good east asain resturaunt across from the Odeon Theatre. I forget the name of the place, but I have been there once before and enjoyed it a great deal.

I hope this helps! Cheers.

It isnt on Lothian Road, but Rick Bar does a fabulous brunch. I live in newcastle, but have friends in Edinburgh and we go for food every time we visit. cant fault it!
