I like "I'll Fly Away" too. I also like Lauryn Hill's version of "His Eye is On the Sparrow" and Mahalia Jackson's "Precious Lord, Take My Hand". Leontyne Price's "Ave Maria" gives me chills.

You don't have to believe the words to like the song...I liked "Purple People Eater" too, know what I mean?

I like the one that goes -
Glad I'm not a Christian,
Or an Atheist, too...
I avoid all the awkward questions,
When I come to Yahoo...

It does go on to celebrate the fact that there are many other faiths in the world, and that it's really great that both Atheists and Christians hold the same narrow view that theirs is The Only True Belief.
Totals up to about 56 verses, so obviously, for the sake of brevity, I've omitted them.

of direction ! Abide With Me is a regularly occurring however maximum hymns sung in church homes sound so mournful that i detect it annoying to maintain wakeful ! i've got self belief in the christian way of life ! I basically have not got self belief in god , faith could be high quality in case you left god out of it !!! Cheers Pete

Is "swing low, sweet chariot" a church hymn? I like that one. But how should I know church hymns if I don't go to church?

I like 'Down to the river to pray' or whatever its called - I loved the Alison Krauss version. 'Fly away' is good, too

I obviously wouldnt be able to pray once I'd got down to the river but it would still be a nice walk.

I like 'I'm using my bible for a roadmap' and '(jesus) I'll never forget what you've done for me'.

Old Rugged Cross. But then again I lost my faith at about ten, so I really only remember like four of them.

When I was a young child I liked This Little Light of Mine.

I'm not sure why.
