this guy is after me and i keep telling myself that i'm not going to get involved in another relationship this year because i really gotta concentrate on my studies as i have to sit for a major exam at the end of the year which determines if i get a place in a local university & i don't want any destractions.i broke up with my bf last april & i never want to go through the same tormenting process of undergoing a break up but then again,i longed to have someone to be there for me & to love me.so when this guy came,my determination of not wanting a bf swayed & i don't know what to do.he texts me everyday & kept asking me to go out but i keep saying no.how can i stop myself from thinking about it?

If you really, really can't balance a social life AND your studies (and this IS a skill you should try to cultivate, BTW), then something has to give. If you're smart, you will choose your studies. The kind of university you get into will have a profound effect on the rest of your life. There will be time for boys later.

Block his texts, don't answer them, whatever, but say "no" and mean it if you just can't handle both things.

Oh my gosh can't you give the fella a brake! Go out with the poor guy. People get in relationships all the time when they have a hectic life. You are only going to get older. When do you want to start getting serious with someone 30?

you don't need to stop yourself, if you are really interested in him, you should go for it, because nomatter how much he acts like it, he will not chased you forever. you may loose your chance.

guys are like doggs.
a dog and a bone.
as long as the dog can smell the bone, he knows there's a chance he'll get it, so he will keep chaseing it, but when he loses the scent, then he will give up and go home.

as long as i guy can see a chonce with the woman he wants, he will chanse her, but if he loses sight of that chance, he will also give up, and go haome.

Make any sense?????

hope i could help.

best of luck

ingnore him, or be honest and tell him that if he really likes you he needs to wait and be patient so you can finish the things you need to , tell him that if you get sometime you would love to hang out, but right now is not the best time. just be completely honest.
good luck

i think going into relationship does not mean to stop doing other stuff and just concentrate on relationship.and life is shorter than you start doing your work step by step.
just imagine that he is your right man and the only one who will make you happy and love you forever, then how could you ignore him?

Go out with him but warn him, if he gets in the ways of your studies he's out of here. That makes both of you happy.

go out with him, but keep it as just friends, platonic. that way you can still have the companionship, and if you want to later on when your situation is different it may turn into more
