it all depends on the user. if you have a mental illness or have a history of mental illness in your family its more likely to bring it out or worsen your current situation. taking it with MAOi's and SSRI's is also a big no, that can bring on sever liver problems and most likely lead to death or long term hospitilization. it can also have theraputic effects to, again on the right user. it has been known to aid in alcohol and amphetamine addiction, with schizophrenia patients it has been a tool in understanding the underlying problems of the patient and bring them out to enhance the treatment. i always say there are those who can and can use it. you have to me mature, in good health, and know EXACTLY what you're getting yourself into. it's a trip, not a three hour high. i've had atleast 30 trips and i can say that it's not for the weak or unsure. know your mind. know your body. know your substance.

My boyfriend and I before we started having kids used to trip like every weekend and after we stopped about a year or so later I thought I seen stuff moving and it wasn't but I guess the only positive thing I can say about it was it lasts longer than any other high I know of which makes it cheaper than alot of other drugs and if I didn't have kids I sure would still do it.

LSD, as with any drug will have long term affects. You can kill major cells in your brain that help with memory, motor skills, coordiantion...etc. You can have "flash backs", see "sparkles" and "trails" forever...the only positive thing I can think of is the experience...and how to tell your kids "just say no"...yeah like you'd ever do that right!?? Sorry...no good long term outcomes!
