Jehovah needs man for only one thing.

Satan taunts God by insisting that those who serve him only do so for the good they get out of it, but will stop if bad things happen to them. This can be seen from the Book of Job, the first two chapters, but notice this accusation in particular in Job 2:4 "And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life."

Notice it says "a man" NOT "Job" so the challenge applies to all who try to serve God. So why does God need man in this case?

To provide a reply to Satan! Please note Proverbs 27:11 - "My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me."

Another point, God doesn't have "plans" He has a purpose. No, he doesn't need me individually, but he does need people in general to fulfill his purpose in creating the earth, for it to be inhabited by righteous people as we read in Isaiah 45:18 - "For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else."

That purpose will be fulfilled according to Psalm 37:9-11, 29; Matthew 5:5, and others.

No, God does not need us to fulfill his plans. He does love and want us, but doesn't really need us.

He needs us by choice. He could have fulfilled His plans some other way, but He has chosen to do so through His Church.

God doesn't need us to do His will. His will is like a tsunami it can not be stopped by man. God prefers to use his children to make our lives more meaningful and draw us closer to Himself. That doesn't mean that our choices don't matter, they do. But God's plan includes us, this is why God the Father sent His Son, Jesus. Jesus is an example if we follow God's plan, satan is an example if we don't.

You are God's plan. I am God's plan. Without Him creating us, He would have no other plan.
Creating Heaven and Earth is His plan.
Creating us is His plan.
Sending Jesus to die for our sins is His plan.
