I haven't heard this. I'd love to see it more widely circulated, that's the beauty of a film production vs. a live production, even when it tours. Movies generate wider audiences for lower income people to see the great art & theater in America. Don't you wish Stephen Sondheim's work was more accessible this way? Great question, by the way!!

Kristin was on the View last week and Rosie asked her this same question. Kristin says she thinks they're still planning on it, but doesn't know when. She jokingly said they better do it soon or she'll be playing Madame Morrible!

I know in past interviews Kristin has said that if they do make a movie, she is contracted to play Galinda - she's already tied to it. I hope they make one with the original cast - I don't think people would want to see anyone else in the roles.

I haven't heard anything, but I'm guessing not quite just yet because it is still VERY HOTT on Broadway. It is almost always the top grossing musical ahead of Jersey Boys every week. With the trend of Bway Musicals becoming films, it will probably happen one day, but not anytime soon.
