Watching the most amazing & the Worlds largest Ocean liner the Queen Mary 2 and her little sister the gallant Queen Elizabeth 2 sail into Sydneys spectacular Harbour was a sight to leave most people breathless ! The sheer size of the Queen Mary 2 is overwhelming, what a way to mark the half way point of her maiden around the world cruise. The weather in Sydney was spectacular, the backdrop stunning and hundreds of thousands of Sydney siders out to marvel at this great spectacle. We all hope she returns soon ! It felt like New Years eve with the firworks all over again - with a little more gallantry perhaps. Has anyone ever cruised on these two great Ocean Liners ? At about $250,000 for a first class around the world voyage, I would be amazed if anyone other the exceptionally well of could afford this ! But what an amazing experience it must be ! How much would it cost to take a one way voyage on board the QE 2 from London to Sydney or even Fort Lauderdale to Sydneys Perfect Harbour ?

Cunard is a spectacular line, and I think it is hard to believe they are owned by Carnival when sailing on the ships. The difference is so huge. While the world cruises are a little on the high end, price wise (but well worth it, considering the quality and length of the cruise, trust me) you should be able to find a cruise that you will be able to take that isn't quite as big as a world cruise. You could get a 5 night sailing for around a $1000, plus taxes and fees, of course that would be for the lowest category. Longer sailings, for example, 14 nights, can run around $2300 for the lowest category. She can be affordable, and she is definitely worth the extra cost to sail on.

The world cruise is amazing, if you ever have the chance to take one, I highly recommend it.

And I'm sure it would be spectacular to see both the Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Elizabeth 2 at the same time. Can't think of anything better right now.

To answer your question... Sailing on them.

The world cruise is four months and it sells very well. You can go comfortable and for less money than it would cost you to go "first class".

Cunard does have a spectacular product. But remember they are owned by Carnival.
