The condition known as split ends, technically known as trichoptilosis, occurs when the hair has been stressed too much and the stress frays the ends of the hairstrand. Common causes of trichoptilosis include damage from heat styling, bleaching, coloring, and use of inferior haircare products. Although some products claim to repair split ends, this just isn't true. The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off.

You need to have your hair trimmed to get rid of the split ends. If you don't get it trimmed the ends will only break off any way and your hair will seem as though it never grows.
Go to a salon and have them trim and shape up the ends of your hair. As I said it will keep the ends from breaking off so that you won't have even more damage to your hair. Plus trimming it will make it feel thicker and it will look beautiful with out the split ends/damage.

Get a trim. That will get rid of the split ends. If you still have some try Biolage hair mask. It is a conditioner that you use after shampooing. You put it in your hair and leave it for about 20 minutes, then rinse. Your hair will feel wonderful afterwards.

you can trim your hair but you will always just be trimming your hair and if you use straiteners it wont help, try buying a protien shampoo personal experience Giovanni shampoo and conditioner is really good its full of protien and strengthens your hair. Its all natural ingredients so its really good and if you want to keep your hair treated buy the loreal heat reactant gel you only use a little bit every time you straiten your hair make sure you use it before you straiten your hair it helps prevent future damage.

First things first, calm down, split ends happen to everyone and are easy to get rid of.
All you have to do is trim your hair about 1/2".
You can do it yourself ( I do not suggest this, you may end up causing more damage) or go to a professional.

Just go to a hair cuttery and get about an inch or 1/2 inch off. That's the only good efficient way.

when you get out of the shower, dont brush your hair, use a pic first. start at the end of you hair and slowly pic up to the top of your hair.
brush your hair once its dry
start at the bottem, work your way up.
if you brush your hair when its when and just pull it through, it can break your hair, making split ends
get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks
