I am a part-time student (in school 2 days a week) and I am wondering if it is at all possible or heard of to be a part-time police officer. Anyone know?

Yes; our small town police force has occasionally had some part time officers. Contact your local office.

There are full-time, part-time, and reserve officers of which work with many law enforcement agencies.

My own agency employs the use of all three.

Part-time officers are former full-time certified officers making a bit extra for their retirements whereas the reserve officers are by majority not certified requiring the presence of a sworn officer. Additionally, they are not paid as it is a volunteer force!

Best wishes!
