Beauty and mystery. Determination. Faith. Self Respect. Self Confidence. Courage. Love. Think about it. She is leaving something to the imagination. No tight clothing. Just flowing, beautiful fabric. It feels so good especially in summer because it's like you have a built in AC. The smallest of breezes is caught and you are kept cool, whereas wearing jeans and a t shirt keep you hot. Oh, yeah, and those tight jeans give you yeast infections from what I hear.

Did she buy that scarf online or get it at Target? ... I wonder if she's hot under that ... it's pretty kewl that she doesn't have to do her hair every day, can cover it up ... I wonder if they make them big enough to cover my huge melon head ... I wonder if she wears it outside to garden, or does she just plop a garden hat over it? I'd wear it there too, keep mosquitoes off me ...

I live in a Muslim country and I see it every day so it does not really impact me at all. BUT, before I moved here I thought that the person was obviously secure with herself to wear a head scarf in a culture where that is not commonplace. I also thought is showed her dedication to her religion and commitment to her modesty. I admired that all people had to see this woman for who she was on the inside and not for how she looked. I respected the differences in culture and the woman's personal decision to adhere to her beliefs.

In the US, someone who is captured by their sub-culture. The same thing I think when I see a habited nun, a collared priest, a gangster wearing his colors, or a hasidic Jew wearing side ringlets.
In an Islamic country, I'm the one who shows that culture has captured him.
In every item of clothing we wear, we are showing our class, culture, gender and race.

I think she enjoys looking different! After that, if the weather is hot, I wonder why she puts herself thru all that. When she is at home, would she put it on all day and night? Not trying to be insensitive, but you asked!
