I suggest you take multi-vitamins, like GNC's Mega Man Sport. Their a hell of a lot better at targeting your metabolism and providing it with the nutrients we tend to miss out on a daily basis. I've been taking fat-loss supplements since the early to mid 90's (Hydroxycut, Xenadrine, Stacker 2, Zantrax, Hot-Rox, etc) and none of them have any long term effects. Mostly I feel I'm just fighting against my own genetics (and losing!). We all tend to have size issues, but the media makes us feel worse about ourselves and our bodies . We want to look like that naturally-thin bodybuilder on TV working out with a Bow-Flex with his shirt off. Here's a link to help you -

Gosh, this sounds like an advertisement for an OTC diet pill that DOESN'T WORK. You could buy a yard of pea gravel and take a pebble every morning; combined with DIET and REGULAR EXERCISE, you'd lose weight. Mostly diet; if you can't go to the gym, don't go to Baskin Robbins.

I wouldn't take any of them. They are entirely unregulated by the FDA, and no one really knows what's in them or if they're safe. There was a fat burning supplement a few years ago (don't remember what it's name was) that was withdrawn from the market after it was discovered to contain a large amount of heavy metals. Other supplements on the market can cause you to spike a high fever, which could lead to brain damage.

Exercise with your kids, they probably need exercise too. Depending on their age, play tennis or racquetball with them, go running with them, calisthenics, etc. Eat a little less, and encourage them to also. (Child and teenage obesity is at epidemic levels.) Proper diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight, and there really is no substitute.
