I'm there with you. People cherry pick through the OT, looking for something that they think makes God look bad. Part of what they don't get is that I don't justify God. He justifies me. God bless.

As a christian growing and learning don't get tide up in the old get with the new. now don't get me wrong the old is wisdom and it has alot of good guide lines. But the new is what all new Christians need to learn it not religion its living by faith believing in yourself.

I began to get frustrated after a day of that. I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing this. But the devil is a lie and so are they for taking the word of God out of context (over and over and over and over, etc.).
Yep. I'm tired of it. Some of them may learn, but I feel most have already hardened their hearts to the word. I think if I only answered those types of questions, I'd probably be at a Level 7 (or so) within 24 hours.

I don't justify anything, I don't try to make people change their beliefs. Nothing I say will make them do that. I try to skip those questions because I don't personally feel it is my place. I have my own beliefs which I am happy with. To each their own.

Wiccan Rider - You are so wrong with your answer.
Christians are supposed to be ministers of the Word of God. We are supposed to talk to people about the Good News of Jesus when the opportunity arises.
It is our job to tell people about it and it is God's job to convict their hearts.
I do not necessarily believe in going door to door to talk to people and people will not necessarily come up and ask me about my faith and Jesus, but, opportunities do arise to talk to people and if we pass those up, then we as Christians are not doing our jobs and a soul may go away without ever being saved.
Paul went out from Antioch to talk to people. Why should we be any different?

I do get tired of the fact that people tend to hold us to those teachings instead of what Jesus gave us. He gave us freedom to goof up and he paid for it. Man, who would do that for you now? Nobody, except of course Jesus, again and again. I don't explain it, I say read for yourself and see what you find. That's what we're supposed to do - study to show thyself approved. Or you can say that Jesus made it so you don't have to worry about the OT. Invite them to church or Bible study.
I also get tired of the people like the ones above me who can't stand to pass an opportunity to tell us how they despise us for something they cannot even comprehend because they are blinded by deception. For you lovely ones, it is the LAW in the OT that we don't any longer go for because Jesus freed us from it. Get it? Probably not. It's too easy for you. You have to find it difficult to believe in God because you can't see him. Can you see your direct deposit? Do you know it's there? Please. Can you see air? Do you know it's there? Oh and some of us Christians don't really bother with any of you in the first place. We'd rather live our lives as an example and not say a word to you.

*The way to stop that is to live the life a Christian should. Be a shining light. A good example. Minding your own business and living the kind of life you do not have to approach people to talk about your faith, people will approach you and ask youabout your faith. Imigine That?*

Because it is by the LAW that many try to justify one's dis-obedience. Not realizing that also what Jesus died for was the LAW! Sure many hear that Jesus died for them and one's sin, if they believe this, but not many believe that Jesus also died for the LAW.
Jesus says:
I did not come to abolish the LAW (to show dis-obedience), but rather to fulfill the LAW. How many recognize that Jesus died ONCE and for ALL CREATION! Not just for one's dis-obedience, but for it ALL.
ALL CREATION!
Hence:
I will make (create) ALL THINGS NEW!
