I am a person that pratices the white form of witchcraft, and do no harm to others guys. I believe that harming others is totally wrong.....I admit that there are those that pratice black magic and recongnize that, but I also have to say not all of us are evil.

Pagan and Wiccan are two word synonymous with witchcraft, and the Bible pretty clearly states that we should suffer not a witch to live. That's pretty strong for even the Bible; I don't believe that it means we should kill all witches, I think it means that we should not suffer for them as we would others who might just come to God. I think God sees witches as completely lost.

Of course, like many others, I have never delved into the "religion" of Pagans and Wiccans, I have not even studied the original Hebrew meaning of "witch". So, like many others, I just avoid them and the subject.

It's not hatred really, it's avoidance, so that we can be inline with Scripture which says to avoid the black arts and magical things. There are a lot of commands I have trouble with, but that's one I can do easily! I'm sorry if you think it's hatred, but as a former Christian, I figured you of all the pagans out there would understand.

There are 2 types of Christians - those who have been brought up Christian or those who merely go to church on a Sunday but have not had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and do not KNOW God.

These give Christianity a bad name because they call themselves Christians but do not serve the Lord. I was one until I MET the Lord.

Then there are those of us who are born again Christians and who the Lord slowly changes and delivers and begins to turn us into what He wants us to be - an image of Himself.

Although you were raised in a Christian family, you never KNEW God. That is why you turned to Wicca. The Wicca you practice is even more dangerous than the "blatant" one, because by practicing "good, white magic", Satan makes you and many others believe its "good", but its a deception. If you put trust in anything other than God, its not of God and therefore of Satan.

I do hope this helps friend. Please find out more - Jesus IS the way, the truth and the life. All you have to do, is ask Him to open your eyes to the truth and He will show you what truth is, and give you peace and joy beyond understanding.

I suppose if you take note of how so called Christians treat everyone you would see that they are not discriminatory. They believe that everyone else is wrong and they are right! If we as Wiccans were to judge others as harshly as they judge others we would be walking around with a seven fold chain lashed to our necks.
We learn by example and as an Ex-Christian I learned a long time ago that, although we are told by the Bible to not judge, Christians are allowed because of their belief. Hmm! A bit of an Oxymoron if you ask me! I was a Preachers wife for nearly 15 years until one day my husband and I decided that there was something seriously wrong with our teachings.
I don't judge others on their beliefs, any more, but judge them on the actions. My judgment goes to whom I will allow myself to be near or not! I love positive people, I don't care what you believe! My guy and I give positive re-enforcement by truly being happy for those who are successful in their lives, nothing more nothing less!
As a Christian I found that we were forced to treat people as if they were beneath us. We were always right and anyone who beleived differently were evil and had no place with us. I lost out on a lot of wonderful lives who passed my way, because of this thinking, and now, I am pleased with myself and the life we have.
Life is a wonderful gift and to share it with everyone is a wonder that continues daily.
And, for those of you that think I work for Satan, I must argue that, we don't believe in Satan or the Devil or Lucifer or what ever you choose to call him. We believe in Love on the highest of plains and just how much we can give.

Blessed Be Little One and Good Luck

At first, in order to hate somebody, one must have loved it before. ;-)
Furthermore one should differentiate the whole one from country to country, because I can answer your question only from German view.

Here is Neopaganism in relation to the Christianity in a relatively indeed small way spread, however, it is acknowledged and it is accepted without further one. That is to be put down certainly also to its appertaining to the heathendom whose roots are to be found here.
It looks different with Wicca. This is, unlike the USA, not acknowledged as religion. And as far as I could bring it into experience, also no great interest in that exists.

P.S. And it is nothing wrong with your "Religion", as far as you don't damage other people. ;-)

Because they are false religions and they worship false gods. They may find solace but they are putting their trust in idols that cannot save or help them in any way. There is only one true God, Jehovah. While there is some good in every religion only Christ gives power to practice the true religion.
I know you won't agree. Possibly the way you were raised gave you preconceived misconceptions about Christianity and you are right to not believe that. But you can't put your trust in people, Christians included. You must put your trust in the God of the Bible.

The word "witch" is to the buybull what "nugget" (or some similar word that yahoo censors) was to the US: a false and invented term attributed to a certain minority group and used to justify hate and violence. You cant' get away with killing or outlawing people if you don't invent a reason first.

As an atheist, I lend as much credence to your ideology as I do to christ-inanity, (ie. none), and like nearly all other atheists my efforts to stop you from being a wiccan are the same as my efforts to stop christians from practicing their beliefs (ie. none). But since wiccans tend not to preselytize, unlike christians, you're not annoying.

Nothing wrong provided that you follow the laws of love and righteous living.

Natural and Universal Laws are operative but amoral. They are neither good nor evil by themselves but take on such character depending on the use to which they are applied.

It is only man’s ignorance and fear of the unknown that prejudges without first studying the matter more thoroughly.

I don't "hate" anyone. I may disagree with you, but that does not equal hate. Do you put the One True God, Jesus' Father, first in your religion? Do you worship God? If not, then I disagree with your religion. Is that gonna make you change? NO, I doubt it. Would anything I say make you change your mind?NO, I doubt it. So why would I try to change you? Why would I spend endless hours trying to tell you why I believe what I believe and try to change you? I won't. And why would I jeopardize my eternity in heaven by hating you? No thanks! You were raised right, and you know the right way. The rest is up to you. But, I certainly don't hate you.

There are many that would argue that modern Christian doctrine emerged from ancient paganism. Hang on while I laugh ................
............................................ok....no wait .......................................
..............................alright, I'm ok now. The answer to your question is: Christians don't condemn your choice of worshipping practices...God Himself does. The Bible tells you that the stars in the sky hold signs, but it also tells you not to mess with it. Frankly, you don't have to thump me in the head. I already fail to reach Christs standards, and I never will. But why compound the matter? These practices indeed work. Magic abounds. But anything not of God is, well....of satan. Face it, you are just another unwitting host, filling a hole in your life with whatever you find interesting (regardless of its' implications and eventual penalties). I find the practice of alchemy and sorcery fascinating as well. But I won't play with it.

I am atheist. I have never had a Wiccan person say anything but positive comments to me. You rock!

Christianity got most of its ideas from Paganism and the Egyptian religions.
