does anyone have any information about having trials for snooker or pool in west midlands?

Is there an amateur league in your part of the world? Or have you a snooker club that would know?

Why don't you contact the Governing body for details too, WPBSA. I'm not sure that I have got that right. Is it World, Pool, Billiards, Snooker, Association?
