No - no one asks to be raped/attacked/harassed or what ever.
You have to make sure the person you are sleeping with is in a fit state to consent, them being drunk is no excuse at all - it is still rape.
Would you suggest that children are asking to be abused if they are acting in a provocative manner? No - it is up to grown up to say no and act responsibly.

No one is ever asking to be abused/raped etc, however I agree with all those who say that it would be a very stupid thing to do. Being out at midnight, on your own, drunk, and therefore not in control of your actions, is a stupid thing to do is stupid where ever you are. Add the skimpy dress and the bad neighbourhood and you are just increasing the chances of danger. Stick with friends, ensure that you have a safe way home, always, always have one person with you who doesn't over drink!!

what shes asking for is to live and breath and walk the earth that's all.i can't believe people still feel as you.so tell me are rapists well within their rights to cause such harm if a woman dresses feminine.and if this is the case as an eight year old wearing innocence and a frilly yet short dress was i asking for it too.i don't feel there are any excuses to be violent towards another person and most certainly not in this way.I'm sorry my words seem heavy most people speak as you just did you are kinda the majority's voice.but please take one moment to think being violated in such a way strips your very being and leaves you for ever a shell of who you once were.they say all the time feeling dirty after the event is miss placed and wrong.i cant help thinking while the world and his uncle feel so strongly women were 'asking for it'that dirt is well positioned and well done to that fellow who put her in her place cleansing the world of such dirty cows by keeping them indoors never wanting to venture out again jolly decent sort is he.no wonder they get a pat on the back rather than a custodial

Are communities built on fault lines "asking" for earthquakes to destroy their lives?
Are people who go out to ask youths who are making a noise outside their house to be quiet asking to be beaten to death?
Circumstances do not MAKE outcomes 'ok'. To be drunk and alone does not mean that a girl is 'asking for it' (by which, I'm assuming you mean rape?).
NO ONE has any right to infringe on one persons liberty or rights.
There is NO such thing as 'asking for it'. Men have no right to decide the rules that constitute a woman's acceptance to sex or not.
Similarly, let me ask you.... if a man is drunk, in a bad neighbourhood and wearing (for example) a tight t-shirt, is he asking to be raped? So what's the difference?

No wai! you cant judge someone by what she wears, and its not her fault she lives in a bad neighbourhood maybe she cant afford to live anywhere else, and being drunk, come on! Thats to have a bit of fun. No one expects to be taken advantage of just because they cant afford to live somewhere better and likes to have a good time and wears clothes as they feel.

No Never!!! No woman is ever asking for what I think you are implying and you and all the other people on here who reckon she is should take a good long look at yourselves and ask yourself just what sort of people you have become! It totally dismays me the way society is going down the pan so much that even women will say that another woman is asking for it. Shame!
I hope your daughters, sisters, cousins etc. never end up in that sort of situation.

Why is it men ask something like that?
Sure, she is a stupid girl to put herself in a vulnerable situation but honestly why would anyone think she would be asking for any man in the neighbourhood to have sex with her .....
Men apparently think through their penis's and frequently as surveys show they think of sex every few minutes.....women don't think like men....sex is not necessarily high on their list of things to think about.......and sex with just any man is totally abhorrent......good grief how arrogant to think that any woman, no matter how stupid she was would want sex just with any passing fella just because she had had a bit too much to drink.....

that is a misconception that a lot of people have. "well if you dress that way you must be asking for something" its not like that with a lot of girls. a lot of girls, especially those who are young, feel that they must dress provacatively to feel pretty. guys take it as she flauntin what she got so she must want me to hit it. and when someone is drunk, unless you are in a relationship already, they are being taken advantage of. there are some girls who mean what they wear, but for the most of them they dress for themselves. people must look past what others are wearing.

You are implying that men have no self control and if he "rapes" this kind of woman it isn't his fault because she was "asking for it", you aren't cave men are you? if a woman walks round naked, silly as that is, a man should know to leap on her and violate her is still wrong. Come on, you have more brains than that I'm sure
