I have given up masterbating, swearing, and tea in the last few years.
Being single made the first one killer but I did it (i did pull 2 girls within the 40 days so some see it as tainted but I don't bc i still didn't masterbate at any point - and I was a minimum once a dayer back then).
Swearing was one that I didn't manage to give up entirely, but I made a conscious effort not to swear and did a really good job if i do say so myself.
I love my tea. It is my choice drink at almost any time of any day. When i sit down to watch sports, I prefer a cup of tea to a beer even. It was an honest to God tough one.

I think its good to test yourself like that by giving something up that is truly difficult. It tests your strength of will.
Good Luck!!

Instead of giving up I am going to try meditation.
I get distracted too easily even if I can get it to 10 minutes a day I would feel I accomplished something.
Fasting and meditation is good for the soul. Its a lot more real than than video games and alcohol.

No, i do no longer think of it relatively is a robust theory, yet i went in the process a similar element, purely no longer for Lent. Mine basically suggested that we would desire to continuously abstain era.......form of awkward i assumed, too.......

No why should i give uop something that has been written by man, not God, if this came from God than i would do something, but man kind has twisted so much of the words of God, and what is gained by giving up something, nothing, and all you have to go on is what some man is telling you

Currently, I've been without alcohol for 87 days.

If you don't think you can manage 40 days without a drink, its time to think about wether you have a problem or not.
